Troy Sanders Confirms Gone Is Gone Has "Tonnes Of Music" That'll Be Announced "Later This Week"
Troy Sanders is a busy man who has been making the most of his downtime in 2020 by finishing off and starting new projects with his three bands Mastodon, Killer Be Killed and Gone Is Gone!
This morning we had a chat with the man and legend (which we'll be posting later this week) and he let slip that Killer Be Killed's new album Reluctant Hero was finished in January 2020 (prior to COVID fucking everything up) which meant he's had heaps of time to focus on his other bands too.
As we already know, Mastodon are currently working on their 8th studio album which he also confirmed to interviewer Paul 'Browny' Brown that has been happening A LOT this year:
"I've also been spending every other week this year in Atlanta, Georgia, working on Mastodon ideas and writing loads of music with those guys"
But he also let slide a BIG scoop for fans of his other project Gone Is Gone and that there's a bunch of new material on the way, which should be officially announced later this week:
"I was able to join my friends in Gone is Gone and we worked on tonnes of music this year and I think we're gonna announce something later this week about a collection of music, which should be released into the world, I'm very proud of that..."

Gone Is Gone is yet another "supergroup" Sanders is part of featuring Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen and At The Drive-In drummer Tony Hajjar. Jumping on the band's social media sites, it seems the teasing for a new song called 'Breaks' has already begun and it's set for release on October 30th (maybe 31st Australian time) with a pre-save link available here.

This new material will mark the band's first taste of music since 2017's album Echolocation was released via Rise Records and you better believe we'll keep you updated on this developing story and keep your eyes peeled for Browny's interview with Troy which also covers topics like Music Festivals post-COVID, Killer Be Killed's special relationship with Australia and which member of the band represents which character on Sex & The City...
No, that's not a typo, he legit answered this question and the result is fucking hilarious!
