The Countdown Is On Until Poppy Releases New Album Empty Hands; New Song 'Guardian' Out Now

There's simply no denying that Poppy is one of the hardest working musicians in the alternative scene right now. Barely even a year after releasing her brilliant album (and arguably best work to date) Negative Spaces, she's back with her seventh record ready to be unleashed on January 23, 2026, titled Empty Hands.
First came 'Unravel', a melodic anthem for the masses which was followed up with 'Bruised Sky', a heavier and tantalising track guaranteed to get the mosh moving at her upcoming shows. Both were vastly different from her collaboration with Amy Lee and Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox) on 'End Of You', but could still be found in the same realm because by this point we know to expect the unexpected with every release.
Now, we're back with 'Guardian' which turns attention to the guitars as Pops draws us in with her alluring vocals and addictive delivery which you cannot deny keeps you hanging on her every word. Intertwining between grunge and electronic rock genres, the build up guides the listener towards an EPIC closing climax that'll please even the harshest of critics.
Poppy is unstoppable. Poppy is authentic. Poppy is one of the most underrated superstars this side of the new millennium and we cannot wait to see what else she's been cooking up with producer Jordan Fish on this forthcoming album. 'Guardian' also features composing credits from Fish, Stephen Harrison (House of Protection) and Julian Gargiulo, who's magic touch was recently heard on Bring Me The Horizon's POST HUMAN: NeX GEn album.
Catch Poppy touring across Australia in January where we'll no doubt hear some of these new songs debuted live for the first time.
