Trivium Announce STRUCK DEAD EP & Celebrate with Lead Single ‘Bury Me With My Screams’

Florida’s finest metal band, the mighty Trivium, have ended their recording drought with the fiery new single, ‘Bury Me With My Screams’. While the band have often combined brutality with festival sized clean hooks, the new single prominently features Matthew K Heafy’s beastly growls. It’s a thrasher to be sure, with Heafy’s anger feeding off the riffs and death metal drumming. There’s a few twists and turns in vocals and tempo - but that’s best experienced in the song itself.
It’s the first new music since 2021’s acclaimed album In The Court of the Dragon, which we awarded a 10/10 score. Not that the band has kept quiet. They spent the aftermath of the pandemic touring both ITCOD and 2020’s What the Dead Men Say, including at Knotfest Australia in 2023, and this year have been celebrating 20 years of their sophomore breakthrough Ascendancy.
We know that tour, which was a co-headline with Bullet For My Valentine, was due to hit Australia at some stage but those plans are off (with BFMV heading here in October with While She Sleeps and The Devil Wears Prada instead). Trivium indicated that BFMV aborted the co-headline plan to record new music but it seems the roles have been reversed with Trivium dropping new tunes sooner.
The good news is that ‘Bury Me With My Screams’ is not a one off. It’s just a taste of the new EP - STRUCK DEAD - which is set for release on Halloween, October 31, 2025 via Roadrunner Records.
Pre-Orders are open, so hook in here metal fans!
