Tom Morello & Beartooth's Caleb Shomo Team Up for Fiery Collab, 'Everything Burns'

Is 2025 the year of the collaboration or what?
Not only did we have plenty of on-stage collabs throughout the year, especially for us down under, but in the recording space, we've seen the likes of Amy Lee, Poppy and Courtney LaPlante team up for 'End Of You', ARCHITECTS gave a helping hand to House Of Protection and Amira Elfeky on their new album and now Tom Morello and Caleb Shomo of Beartooth are throwing their hats in the ring as well.
The guitarists have paired up for 'Everything Burns', a new song released for the Final Fantasy 14's soundtrack and to say it goes off would be the understatement of the year.
Commencing with another iconic Morello guitar tone, Caleb steps up to the microphone and then it's a party. The pair bounce off each other with precision as the tempo increases from start to epic climax which bursts with a wall of sound (ha) taking us to completion with plenty of shredding along the way. It sounds like a videogame soundtrack and won't be long before the metal community welcome it with open arms.
Tom Morello's been busy this year with an abundance of singles he's appeared on, including another videogame single for Arcane League Of Legends, as well as performing on 'The Path', which was featured in The Last Of Us Season Two's soundtrack. Meanwhile, it's been a couple of years since Beartooth released their last album The Surface and here's hoping this is the start of the 2026 campaign for the band with that new material Caleb and co. have been working on in studio, especially with Jordan Fish in the production seat.
'Til then, stream the fuck out of 'Everything Burns' as we head further into the festive season.
