The Good Things Festival Local Band Finalists Announced
A few weeks back Good Things Festival put a call out for local bands to apply to play at the event and that they'll be looking for one band from each local city on the East Coast run to hit the stage and now we get to see who has made the shortlist for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane
Organisers revealed just how many entries and votes they had:
"After receiving over 300 band entries and almost 20K votes, it all comes down to this! 4 bands in each city to play a set in front of a panel of industry experts who will decide"
And the finalists are:
Melbourne - Friday 22 November at Stay Gold
Will see the likes of The City (@TheCityAU), Sisters Doll (@SistersDoll), IRONSTONE (@Ironstoneband) and Lash78 (@Lash78) battle it out for the opportunity to open the Victorian leg of the festival.
Brisbane - Tuesday 26 November at The Brightside
And in Brisbane we'll have Babirusa, Shorelines (@ShorelinesAU), Joy in Motion (@joyinmotionband) and Virtues (@virtuesAUS) competing for the top prize for Queensland.
Sydney - Saturday 30 November at Crowbar, Sydney
We will see Reliqa (@reliqaband), Infinite Illusion (@skitzfinite), Stone Lions and Teeth go head-to-head for the New South Wales position
The next step will be for the above-mentioned bands to play an industry showcase (in their city) where the winner will be selected on the night by a panel of experts and they'll score the opportunity to open Good Things Festival as local heroes.
The showcases take place on Friday 22 November at Stay Gold, Melbourne, Tuesday 26 November at The Brightside, Brisbane and Saturday 30 November at Crowbar, Sydney...
We'll keep you posted on the outcome but until then stay up to date with all the good things announced with our rolling coverage here
