The Beautiful Monument Return With Hard-Hitting Domestic Abuse Inspired Single, 'Dancing With The Buried'

The evolution of The Beautiful Monument is a wonderous thing.

From the band's early goth metal beginnings, to the blossoming emo rock act that it's members - vocalist Lizi McIntosh, her darling bassist wife Amy McIntosh, shredder Alex Manhire and kit thumper Adam Pinzone - have become, the outfit have fast transformed into a powerhouse foursome in the alternative scene.

From carving up stages early on at UNIFY to supporting Evanescence on their 2023 Australian headline tour, this world class act have paved their own destiny and won at every step along the way.

Today, they return with the first taste of their exciting new era - 'Dance With The Buried', which follows on from previously released standalone singles 'Duerme', 'Misery' and 'Hellbound'.

Leading with a thumping bassy synth, we're guided to that signature Lizi wail which pulls you in as she belts out the alluring introduction, directing us to Alex's riff city section where the band joins in for good measure. It won't be long before you're belting out the chorus ''I'm running out of tiiiiime / unfolding all your lieeeees'. With a focus on the guitars, this new offering harks back to earlier material (think 2017's I'm The Sin) but updated with a modern metal approach to songwriting and melody. The electronic additions will evoke something within and I for one cannot wait to hear this track in a live setting.

But it's not all sunshine and praise for this new bop, the single is shadowed by it's hard-hitting and deeply provocative subject matter, domestic abuse.

"This track hits very close to home..." reveals Lizi, who further adds "It's about victims not being believed about their abuse because of the stigma that surrounds domestic violence as a whole.

The video represents that abuse comes in all forms, shapes and sizes; even if it’s not what's stereotypically perceived by societal norms."

A jarring juxtaposition of glorious electronic rock intertwined with the confronting, stark reality facing those who have endured the dark side of relationships. With each listen, you'll sink deeper into the messaging and themes surrounding this new release, and the listener may find comfort in feeling seen or acknowledged, empowering them to make a positive change in their lives.

It's all we ask for from our heavy music right?

As for the future of TBM, the band have been busy over the past year writing and we should see some of their best work yet surfacing in the not too distant future.

"We’ve taken our time to ensure the next era of The Beautiful Monument is our best yet; not only for our fans, but for us as musicians - We can’t wait to show the world what we have been cooking up, and we look forward to the thrillride to come!"

The Beautiful Monument are setting sail on the SOLD OUT Hellbound Metal Cruise in October 2026... chances are we'll see them prior on a tour to get acquainted with this new chapter of their ever-growing story.
