PREMIERE: Prepare to be carried away musically by Carrington's 'Interesting Places'

Perth, for those in the know, is an interesting place to visit if you're not from the far away West Coast of the country, but lately we've started seeing an influx of great, upcoming bands from the area who are doing their absolute best to grab your attention and the latest from the pack we're stoked to bring to you is none other than Carrington.

The five-piece are today premiering their new track 'Interesting Places' which takes the listener on a journey through alternative rock, post-hardcore and even balladesque styles throughout, which, if you're like me, if a fucking great approach to making music. The song itself has a much sadder/deeper meaning according to vocalist Emmett Carroll who explains:

"This song was written about a passing family member who struggled with a terminal illness..." [before transitioning to address a much wider subject matter] "the perspective changes throughout the song to draw parallels to the degradation of the Earth as a result of human influences, and relates to how the feelings are somewhat similar. "

Layered stories/songs done right are the best and this new release is up there! Keep your eye on Carrington, chances are you'll be screaming the words back at them in future years.

Check them out on Facebook before the release of their Alter-Ego EP on May 24th
