PALEDUSK Make Their Foray Into Anime with Gachiakuta Opening Song 'HUGS'

The pioneers of Fukuoka Chaos Core PALEDUSK are back with a dynamite new single ’HUGS’. The absolute rambunctious release has been tailor-made for the upcoming anime Gachiakuta, as the creators Kei Urana and Hideyoshi Andou specifically requested the band for the opening song.
Distributed through avex’s A.S.A.B label, ‘HUGS’ is the band's first release since their January 2024 EP PALEHELL and also marks PALEDUSK’s major label debut in their home country. It takes you on a whirlwind journey that seems to condense a wild ride of an anime season into just over five minutes.
Dipping into their diverse sonic palette and channelling the erratic energy they have become known for, PALEDUSK continue to become a major force in the songwriting scene. This is not the first time they have lent their skills to projects outside the band, with guitarist/composer DAIDAI working with video game FORTNITE and icons BRING ME THE HORIZON.
No word on whether this is just a one-off song or PALEDUSK has more in store for us coming out soon. As with every release of theirs, though, there is more than enough in ‘HUGS’ to sink your teeth into.
'HUGS' is available to stream now through A.S.A.B. Keep an eye out for the music video dropping over the weekend.
