Ov Sulfur Harvest Havoc With New Single 'Seed'

Las Vegas-based blackened deathcore band Ov Sulfur has ignited 2025 with their latest standalone single, ‘Seed’. Released via Century Media Records, this track marks the group's first offering since 2024's ‘Untruth’ and showcases the band's continued evolution in blending symphonic black metal with brutal deathcore elements.

The fresh release has all the signature hallmarks that make this band a pleasure to listen to, but the addition of a somewhat catchy chorus shows the trajectory of the outfit's continued growth and may, or may not, serve as just a taste of what is yet to come from a potential forthcoming album - according to their socials.

On the track, vocalist Ricky Hoover comments:

“’Seed’ is about the constant doubt I feel in every facet of life and how I feel we all share that together. Imagine how it would eat away at you if so-called ‘eternal life’ were real? Sounds like torture to me: more hell than heaven.”

A well said sentiment that we can all relate to in one form or another. Adding to this, guitarist Chase Wilson says:

’Seed’ has one of our best choruses yet, and we use it around melodeath riffs and brutal deathcore breakdowns. Actually, we even put it on top of the song-ending breakdown, where it fits perfectly—after already playing it standard and even blasting through it to give it another flavor. This song has every flavor of Ov Sulfur and then some!

The future is shining bright for Ov Sulfur, we can only hope a trip down under is on the cards in some capacity in future... if not, we'll bring them down here ourselves!
