Oh Man, Liam Guinane Is Departing Windwaker....

Oh man, oh man, oh... you ready for this one, Windwaker is set to lose one of their fundamental members, Liam Guinane, at the end of the year after he announced he'll be focusing on this other band Reside, who have started taking off in a big and fast way over the past few months.
It's hard to juggle two big projects, especially if both have gruelling tours and obligations around the same time and that seems to be the case in what Liam revealed to fans in a lengthy post on the band's Facebook page, revealing:
Hey everyone,
If you’ve come to a show recently, you may or may not have noticed that I haven’t been there. The first time being the Beartooth tour, which I unluckily happened to be away for, and even more recently the four Make Them Suffer shows this past week we had the honour of being asked to play on.
No, there’s no drama. No bad blood. There’s been no fight or anything wrong. It’s no secret that I have another outlet when it comes to music and it being one that is very personal and honest to me. You may or may not already know that outlet as Reside.
I will be completely transparent here and say that Reside has grown way beyond what I had originally anticipated, and for the longest time I was very optimistic that I would be able to balance the two projects because I had so much love and excitement for both and the planning for both gave me enough time to organise my life. We were all optimistic with the growth of both projects that we would be able to make it work with no compromises and recently it has shown us that perhaps we were a little naive.
If you’ve read this far, thank you.
This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make in my life so far (seriously! I’ve broken down over it so many times as of late) so it hasn’t been taken lightly.
I love my best friends in Windwaker so much and I have been blessed to have been given the opportunities I have while being in the band that I will be eternally grateful for.
Windwaker have an amazing future ahead and I’m sure in some way you know I will still be a part of that. For now though, I have to choose the thing that makes me the happiest and right now that is my very emotionally raw and honest outlet – Reside.
Do not fret though. We still have some time left together. I will be there this November. I will there this December and I will properly say goodbye to you all at a Good Things festival near you.
Thank you once again for everything and I love you all.
I'm not crying, you are... The guys did so well with their recently released Empire EP (our review here), but Reside have been making some big waves too, so its completely understandable you have to chase that dream any way you can
Let's make these last few shows Liam has with the band something special!
