Ocean Grove Deliver The Ultra-Groovy 'Sex Dope Gold'

Following previous singles 'CALI SUN' and 'Silver Lining', Ocean Grove are churning out more of those good vibrations from their forthcoming LP, Up in the Air Forever (out April 22 via UNFD) with the psychedelic 'Sex Dope Gold'. Serving as a conscious reminder of our sometimes unconscious sensations towards materialistic things, the band share:

"This song speaks of the trap we sometimes fall into in the material world: insatiable material consumption, addiction to sensory gratification and the inflation of the false ego. Ultimately, these temporary and reactionary experiences are merely an illusory escape route from the uncomfortable and unknown. If the ending of Scarface tells us anything, it is that the pursuit for sex, money and power may not turn out the way we'd hope and that it's a vacuous pursuit. Let your ears be your eye and see your world’s truth on a platter.”

This latest tune is an earworm of the band's staple sounds of grunge, pop and nu metal. It's slightly more familiar than last month's 'Silver Lining' but shows that the boys are as diverse as ever on their latest material. 'Sex Dope Gold' draws us in with a funky drum beat, before producing an almost psychedelic guitar riff soaring in the chorus.
