New Age Core Fusion Act In Vanity Cut Loose on 'Cardinal'

Jul 29, 2022
4 min read

Welcome to new age Aussie metalcore/deathcore fusion. In Vanity have been splatting gutturals and painting demonic breakdowns across the streets of Melbourne over the past few years and they're getting the accolades to match.

On the back of their Nodus Tollens EP in 2019, the five-piece dropped a sophomore release last year called Identity, featuring a series of bangers like 'Mariana' and 'Epitome'. We were even lucky enough to snag a track-by-track of last year's fine drop from drummer/songwriter Ollie Midson (read it here).

Enter 2022, and the Victorian outfit are back with some more demonic riffs for you to chew on. Their opening release for the year is called 'Cardinal'. With a nu-deathcore style In Vanity channel their gnarlier side with groovy hooks and clean vocal crescendos. Watch out for these guys, they're creepin' up and they're going to blow up.
