Melb Punks Clowns Drop ‘Does It Matter?’ Music Video

Melbourne’s Clowns have been kicking punk rock arse for years and nothing has changed with their new song 'Does It Matter?' This lot were blowing up worldwide, touring Australia, the States and Europe with the likes of Foo Fighters, The Chats, Lagwagon, Le Tigre, Teenage Bottlerocket, and appearances at Download OZ and the holy grail, WACKEN when Covid hit and anchored them right back in locked down Melbourne, home of toilet paper riots, block madness and Dan ‘on the beers’ Andrews.
From the ashes of all that horrible bullshit rises this very catchy and very cool new song. Well, Does It Matter? Fuck yeah it does. Their last album was a monster of an album and if this song is anything to go by, the next one should be a blinder. The film clip is a ripper too. Even when the band are jammed up in what looks like an old soccer mums car, Clowns' live energy is on show. It even has a beaut moment where exiting guitarist Will Robinson passes on the proverbial and literal axe to new guitarist Cam Rust. Its a little bit of “AW THAT'S SWEET” before they rip back into proceedings.
When we asked the band about their latest offering and new sound, they cheekily told Wall of Sound:
"Our new song 'Does It Matter?' is the greatest Clowns song there ever has been and ever will be. Don’t even bother listening to our old crap, number one is right here. As for any future releases, well, it’s all downhill from here too. Lap it up legend and bloody send it
Anyone who is familiar with Hanny J’s solo stuff knows that her vocals pack a huge punch and Clowns have (quite rightly) utilised that in this tune. Stevie is an unreal frontman and Hanny’s voice gives him a huge boost. Their twin vocal attack is definitely something they’ve used minimally in the past and I would love to see more of it going forward. Fuck me dead I can’t wait to hear more from this mob. Legends
