Knosis Finally Unearth Debut Album GENKNOSIS; Unleash New Belter 'SHINMON'

Hot off the back of their recent Australian domination supporting Void Of Vision (our Melb review here), Japan's powerhouse metal export KNOSIS have finally given fans what we've been craving since their conception - a full length album!

The band, lead by mastermind multi-instrumentalist Ryo Kinoshita, will debut GENKNOSIS on August 1st via Sharptone Records which follows on from initial releases such as The Eternal Doom EP and recent single 'Fuhai' featuring hanabie frontwoman Yukina. This new album will set the benchmark for the future of the outfit, which came about following Ryo's exit from Crystal Lake in 2022.

Teaming up with Yosh Morita (Survive Said The Prophet) has proven to be a team-up to rival the biggest Marvel movie as both musos have crafted a signature sound that's uniquely recognisable as KNOSIS - new single 'SHINMON' breaches the confines of metalcore/deathcore with plenty of jarring riffs, bellowing gutturals and absolute chaos captured within the walls of The Hideout Studios.

As always, expect the unexpected when you first hit play because KNOSIS aren't here to sound like anyone or anything else, and evidence of his can be found in their discography from the first release 'Seisai' (on The Shattering EP) to now. Eagle eyed fans will notice tracks from previous EPs appear on the forthcoming album - it has been confirmed that new remixed/remastered versions will appear, bringing the sounds we fell in love with in the early stages to new audiences in 2025 - only with beefier breakdowns to boot.
