Introducing: LARCɆNIA ROɆ, An Exploding Modern Deathcore Outfit With ‘Onlooker’
It’s still very early in 2024 with plenty of time to discover and share emerging artists in the scene. In 2023, a disgustingly heavy band was unearthed from Raleigh, North Carolina called Larcenia Roe, stylised LARCɆNIA ROɆ. The U.S. outfit came out of the gate with menacing EP Dereliction, featuring singles like ‘Nose Tork‘ and music videos that are clocking up tens of thousands of hits – definitely worth catching up.
With an ominous presence on social media, Larcenia Roe have burst into 2024 with an absolute banger. In a setup to what might be a speculative sophomore EP, the modern deathcore group have released new single ‘Onlooker‘. The track features Yasmine Liverneaux Belkhodja of multi-national deathcore band Face Yourself.
The three-minute track hears demonic vocals echo with a similar style to Lorna Shore‘s Will Ramos, however it very rapidly gets even more bellowing. The instrumental collective are tuned down to hell and with stellar production manage to spiral the breakdowns into a visceral frenzy on either side of unforgiving chugging medley. If you’re a deathcore fan, the track will absolutely destroy you, and will leave you spinning their 2023 EP on repeat.
