Harroway Introduce Alluring Cleans on New Hit, 'Narsociety'

There's something special that comes with watching a band rise from ground level up.
Harroway are one of those acts we've loved covering from their single 'Sleep', through to the release of their breakout EP I Don't Want To Be Here Anymore, and with every release they just seem to fine-tune their craft and add a dash of new to continue that evolution. There's a reason they landed on our 30 Indie Aussie Core Sick List earlier in the year!
Evidence of this can be found on their latest core hit 'Narsociety', which introduces cleans to the mix; a step in the right direction to help elevate the band out of the generic metalcore pool that's overflowing with dopamine breakdowns and drop-D riffs. At first you might be questioning who the new female member is, but that's just incoming guitarist Chris ‘CJ’ Webb showing us his impeccable highs and alluring delivery which draws you in, in a similar vein to Kellin Quinn from Sleeping With Sirens. Blokes hitting high notes - ufffff.
The instrumentals lean into an ominous overbearing synth with screamer Matt Banks almost taking step back from the spotlight to let the new vocal performance shine. Could we see Harroway morph into a twin vocalist band like the greats of the Aussie scene? I sure hope so.
Following on from sharing stages with the likes of Ocean Sleeper, We Came As Romans, Invent Animate, Windwaker and Patient Sixty-Seven - the five-piece will debut their new lineup on the NSW leg of Make Them Suffer's regional tour from June 17th.
