Melbourne punk rock three piece Drastic Park have taken a literal leaf from Blink-182's back catalogue with their new single 'Work Of Art' here. But do we care? Absolutely not, because this song kinda fucking rules. Featuring a moody, emo melody that soars into an explosive pop punky chorus, the song is a retrospective to your adolescence life. The band shares its true meaning with us:

“Work of Art” is a song about growing up and losing our innocence. But it is also a song about kids not meeting their parents expectations. We come into their lives as their perfect creation, but along the way we become ‘tainted’ by the world around us - as if the colours of a corrupt world are painted over us. Despite putting on a brave ‘smile’, some of us are still haunted by our former selves and live in fear of disappointing the ones who brought us into the world. The lyric “smile for all the world to see” sounds positive but in fact is sarcastic, suggesting that we go out of our way to please the people around us. We ‘smile for all the world to see’ in an effort to fit in - even if that means fitting into a world that is corrupt."

The boys have brought on Terra frontwoman Cassie Sutton to lend her sweet vocals to bring an extra element to the track, which will definitely be on constant repetition for days. We love that!
