“People might be surprised, but this is where I’m most at home, this is the sound I was raised on.”

We always thought Briggs had a bit of rock in him and the proud Yorta-Yorta/Wurundjeri/Wemba-Wemba musician has proved he's more than a one genre statesman with the release of 'IDENTITY' - the first single under his new project BIG NOTER.

Combining in-your-face aggression with venom spitting rap verses (made famous by his well known project A.B. ORIGINAL) and some hard rock/punk riffage for extra flavour, Briggs and co. waste no time setting up the new musical act as a force to be reckoned with in Australia's ever-growing heavy/alternative scene. The debut single sparks further conversations about First Nations experiences, encouraging listeners to stand up in sovereignty and fight for their rights - continuing the discussions around Aboriginal land rights through the iconic war-cry, "always was, always will be".

With a debut album on the way, the band have also captured the attention of Tom Morello [Rage Against The Machine/Audioslave] and will play some of their first shows supporting the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inducted guitar virtuoso at his upcoming Bluesfest sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney. Consisting of a live roster featuring Steve Smith on drums, Leigh Davies on guitar and bassist Craig Strain it won't be long before BIG NOTER become a household name across the country.
