Before Paleface Swiss was the almighty Breakdown of Sanity. Reigning from Bern, the Euro metalcore titans have unleashed a new chapter with their next single, 'The Hunt'. The 2025 track sees the debut of a new vocalist after the departure of long-time frontman and founding member, Carlo Knöpfel, who decided to step down at the end of the year to pursue different creative paths. After performing his final show with the band after Christmas in 2024 in Bern, the band got on the hunt for their next frontman.

After a significant hiatus, Breakdown of Sanity returned in the COVID-era of 2020 with 'Traces', the inaugural string of standalone singles, released one-by-one each year - notably 'Black Smoke', 'Collapse', 'Echoes of the Void', 'Perfect Enemy' and collaboration 'Purge' with Czech group Abbie Falls. These singles showcased the band's enduring power and commitment to their signature blend of crushing breakdowns and melodic intensity, all while maintaining their independent, DIY ethos. That wasn't all though - these singles kickstarted a number of select tours across Europe which was where they really resurrected.

After new singles, more shows and an exiting frontman, Breakdown of Sanity have started a new era by revealing their new vocalist is Kevin 'Kivi' Brändle.

The global metalcore community have been waiting with baited breath for some of the best in the game to return. 'The Hunt' unloads with the band's iconic riff setup with new vocalist Kevin whatever belching his steaming uncleans across a melodic metalcore bridge. The momentum hits like bangers off Co-Existence and will assure fans that the future of BoS is looking bright. Now let's enter breakdown city. With a pressure cooker of anticipation, the Swiss metal titans dive into bass-drop captivating riff-storm that'll grab you by the balls - "open the flood gates!".

Welcome back Breakdown of Sanity, now get down to Australia already.
