August Burns Red Rip Into New Single 'Backfire'

August Burns Red are one of the biggest and best in the game, and they've just dropped their new single 'Backfire'. The track comes after 'Ancestry' from last year which features Killswitch Engage's Jesse Leach. The two songs come off their upcoming record Death Below, out 24 March, 2023 via SharpTone Records.

The band has always been known for their intensity, and 'Backfire' is no exception. The track starts off with an old school metalcore style that sets the tone for the rest of the song. The drums are notably powerful and give the song a bursting driving force all the way to the end.

"Backfire is song that musically is a punch in the face, and we wrote the lyrics to follow suit," says ABR. "The song is about choosing who you follow wisely, and not allowing people you've never met to influence the decisions you make in life. Backfire ticks all the boxes when it comes to an ABR song."
