Against the Current Unleash New Single 'Weapon'
US pop/rock trio Against the Current are back and thriving with their brand new single, 'Weapon', proving once again that they're a defiant weapon in the pop punk realm. The band last released a song in 2020 titled 'That Won't Save Us' with their most recent album being Past Lives way back in 2018.
'Weapon' is a punchy as hell, infectious tune showcasing frontwoman Chrissy Costanza's firey, rebellious spirit that we've come to love most about the band. Yeah, the song kinda reminds you a lot of Paramore's hit song 'Ignorance' but Against the Current hold enough strength and energy in their latest pop punk anthem to stand on their own.
Their breakthrough record, In Our Bones still stands as one of my favourite albums from the last five years, so I'm hella pumped to see them maintain their spot as a premier pop/rock act this year.
