It is hard to truly define the sound of UNITYTX but one thing is for certain ‘LOST IN DAYZ’, the fourth single off their upcoming album Ferality is absolute mayhem. Mayhem in the best possible way.
UNITYTX are an exciting band. Much of this comes from their ability to completely bend genres and create a sonic experience that hits all the right notes. From in-your-face hardcore to the hip-hop adjacent side of old-school nu-metal and a dip into the world of industrial- every single they have dropped over the last seven years, just go ridiculously hard. That is what has fans hungry for the release of Ferality.
When talking about the process of creating the new album, vocalist Jay Webster admits that “it just feels good to scream at the top of my lungs.”
“And not even at anyone. Sometimes you just need to scream.”
With Ferality coming out on September 8th this year, ‘LOST IN DAYZ’ is a satiating single to turn up while you wait. A little over a minute and half, it taps into the more hardcore side of the band. Webster’s cathartic display of vocal aggression takes front and centre, with the angst behind the lyrics dripping throughout the track. The breakdowns are blistering and the pinched harmonics scratch that itch in your brain that you did not even realise was there.
So if you need to scream, then this track needs to be on repeat.
