If you haven't been keeping up with Story of the Year's singles from their upcoming album Tear Me To Pieces, (out March 10th via Sharptone Records) then you're missing out on an incredible return to form for one of the 2000 era's best post-hardcore acts, with tracks that transport you back to your scene days with nostalgia-filled instrumentals and screams-a-plenty.

So far, the band have dropped 'Real Life', title-track 'Tear Me To Pieces' and 'Take The Ride' all of which have been *chef's kiss* and today, the next offering has arrived, titled 'War' which features similar synth-driven backing sounds featured in their underrated 2017 album Wolves, which they released independently on the back of a successful Patreon campaign.

Frontman Dan Marsala's screams are so on point, it's like he's been abducted from that 2000s era and dropped smack bang in 2023. 'War' is moody as hell and I can foresee this being a new crowd fav at live shows alongside hits such as 'Anthem of Our Dying Day', 'Our Time is Now', and 'The Antidote'. This upcoming album really does feature the best sounds of this band's impressive back catalogue annd I personally cannot wait to review the shit out of it.

The band are also heading down under for Knotfest Australia in March - let's keep our fingers crossed for some sideshows!

Check it out below at midnight local time.
