Drummer Dave Elitch appears to have been permanently removed from metal supergroup, Killer Be Killed. Elitch (ex-The Mars Volta, Antemasque) was unable to perform with Killer Be Killed as part of this year's edition of Australia's Soundwave XV festival due to scheduling conflicts with his other band, Antemasque, and Max Cavalera confirmed the switch in a an interview the other day for this website.

“Pretty much. We introduced Ben (Koller) at Soundwave Festival and asked him to be part of the group. He’ such a great drummer and musician.”

Fellow KBK member and Dillinger Escape Plan frontman, Greg Puciato spoke to The Metal Review about the drummer change prior to the Festival earlier this year, saying,

"I didn't want to shuffle the band around to a shittier time slot just to accommodate Dave playing in both bands. Antemasque for Dave is a much bigger commitment; they're playing a lot of shows all the time. If he needs to do that, that's fine with me. Ben from Converge is a fucking animal, so it'll be cool to play with him."

As for the touted follow up album for the band, Cavalera went onto say,

"Not writing yet (for Killer Be Killed). I don’t write on the road, too chaotic. I’ve got some ideas though. Now I know Greg (Puciato) and Troy (Sanders) and we have Ben Koller playing drums. We’re going to make a kick ass second record.”
