blessthefall Prepare Comeback Record GALLOWS & Debuts 'mallxcore'

Metalcore titans blessthefall are preparing to announce their upcoming album, GALLOWS, out 5 September via Rise Records, with all the details showing up on digital streaming platforms (it's a blessing living in Australia kids).
It's been seven long years since their last record No Hard Feelings was released, so this is a pretty big deal for both the band and their loyal fans. Since going on a hiatus, members Jared Warth and Elliott Gruenberg toyed with side-project High Wind in 2022, with an EP Slipping Away with standout track 'Windwvker'. The release was awesome and had those blessthefall signature moves, but couldn't come close the the real deal.
To celebrate the news of the O.G. band getting back together and touring, the Arizonian group have finally unleashed the record’s opening track 'Mallxcore' after delaying the release by a fortnight and keeping fans hanging by a thread. The single comes after the success of major comeback single 'Wake The Dead' and 'Drag Me Under' with our very own Alpha Wolf. With their mighty noughties metalcore return, blessthefall have ignited nostalgia and set us up for an exciting new record, out in just a few months - according to Apple Music.
After a stunning discography that started even earlier than 2006 with their debut record His Last Walk, this band have a deep legacy to carry on building. Between the raw and emotive carnage, riffs and breakdowns-alongside Beau Bokan's anthemic cleans, the upcoming release promises a refreshing reclaim to their throne in the heavy music scene.
'Mallxcore' is an unapologetic nod to their roots and a sonic assault that proves they’re back with a vengeance. With Warth's faded gutturals seeping through in true form, the riff-machine drops and the vocalist displays his sharpened bellows before metalcore sweetheart Bokan showcases his true-to-form cleans. The track plays out like a true album intro, where the band is downtuned with an extended crescendo of bass - marking their return to the LP format. It's so great to hear blessthefall back fully fledged, and without the asterisk of touring only and the potential of an odd-single release here and there. Time to start straightening that jet-black fringe, people!
On the new song, the band shares
"You ever hear a song from a band and go, 'Holy fucking shit, they nailed it?,'" Bokan muses. "That’s what 'mallxcore' will make you feel. This song was so fun to write as we went in with no intentions other than writing the most blessthefall song possible. The song title is a poke at the r/Metalcore reddit haters."
