Another Beefy Wrap with Sanguisugabogg, Kingdom Of Giants, Sinsaenum, Psychic Mass & Snake Bite Whisky

Another jam-packed week of releases means we're playing catch up on what you need to know before diving into a new batch of tunes.
We're checking out a full range of genres - from boundary pushing genre-crosses, melodic death metallers through to hard out Aussie rock 'n roll and psychedelic/stoner blues.
It's all here, and it's all beef.
Sanguisugabogg
The band with the name that sends shivers up your spine when uttered perfectly have unveiled their new album Hideous Aftermath (out Oct 10th) with new song 'Aborrhent Contraception'. Wasting no time before launching into sheer brutality, the Bog unleash terror in more ways than one with a groove-laden drum and guitar combo that accentuates the vocals of frontman Devin Swank - who delivers his finest sink-gurgling gutturals alongside Josh Welshman of Defeated Sanity. Drummer Cody Davidson is guaranteed to get you pumping out at least a million more reps at the gym with his intricate combos and fills and sets up their forthcoming full-length nicely.
On the new song (and rightfully NSFW video) , the band shares:
“As a death metal band diving deep in dark tropes of fantasy and exaggerated real life horrors, this song is a timeless classic with a theme very tried and true with our genre and it's about the slaughter of an entire family and the unborn"
Watch... if you dare! When addressing the forthcoming album, the lads say it's "definitely our most death metal record, our most personal record, our most focused and brutal record to date."

Psychic Mass
Victorian trio Psychic Mass return with a new EP, Babylon, which sees the band refine their occult hard rock sensibilities. Despite the death metal backgrounds of guitarist Paul Lang (Denouncement Pyre) and drummer Jarro Raphael (Nocturnal Graves), the band shuns trends by going deeper into psychedelic blues on the title track and there’s some gnarly organ on ‘The Dream at the End of Time’. It’s not all big riffs with some more contemplative moments, whether it’s the ‘Babylon’ guitar solo or the drumming on ‘Beyond Nuit’.
Fans of Green Lung and early Ghost should check it out.

Snake Bite Whisky
Bris-Vegas hard rockers Snake Bite Whisky have signed with X Music and celebrated by dropping ‘Living to Die’. It might start with a more tender guitar line but doesn’t take long before the riff kicks you in the glam. It’s got the sunset strip spirit with a video showing a fan using music to escape the mundane life.
Snake Bite Whisky have a couple of Queensland gigs coming up before they head to the USA for an 11 date tour. It includes shows at the famous Whiskey a Go Go in LA and the mighty Rocklahoma Festival.

Sinsaenum
Last week we dropped our interview with Sinsanum founding member Frédéric Leclercq who shared intricate details about the band's new album In Devastation and fellow founding member, the late and iconic Joey Jordison.
Later in the week the band released the second single from their forthcoming album in the form of 'Last Goodbye' - an ominously gut-wrenching display of melodic death metal with nods to early Slipknot era in parts (frontman Sean Zatorsky doing his best to invoke Corey Taylor-esque cleans), guaranteed to draw in maggot stragglers who are yet to come across the prolific act. If you love your heavy instrumentals with enchanting vocal performances, then this should be right up your alley...
Give it a spin and keep your ears alert for the album releasing on August 8th.

Kingdom Of Giants
Fresh from the announcement of bassist Jonathan Reeves joining Australia's The Amity Affliction, back in his original band, the alluring crooner and co have announced a new EP titled Burning Chrome (out August 29th) and dropped 'Collide' to tide us over.
Putting an emphasis on the synth and cleans, we're drawn in on a guided path of beaty and mesmerising wonder before the breakdown kicks in and reminds us why this band have been a hidden gem in the heavy music scene.
Kingdom Of Giants are currently tearing up stages on the Summer Of Loud Festival Tour with Aussies Parkway, Amity and Alpha Wolf across America - let's hope they smuggle themselves down under in luggage so we can get in on the action soon.
