Good Things Festival came and went quicker than a speed demon and we're all better off for it.

With lasting memories and enough sunblock to sink a ship, heavy // alternative music fans stormed the gates up the East Coast to catch the Class of 2025 in action, creating core memories to last a lifetime.

Backstage in Brisbane, Team WoS - including Adam Rice, Georgia Haskins, Duane James, Ricky Aarons and Browny - hit the ground running - powered by our pals at KSCY - to get you up close and personal with your fav bands from the lineup and a very special exclusive chat with a secret act who only joined the festivities with 48 hours notice.

Team WoS: Ricky, Georgia, Duane, Adam and Browny

We'll be rolling them out all festive season long, so hook in and tell us who your fav was across our socials.

Lorna Shore

Lorna Shore's connection with Australia was deeply rooted in 2025 with two standout tours in one year, unheard of by an international artist of their magnitude. The culmination of their new album I Feel the Everblack Festering Within Me came to a close when our Deathcore Connoisseur Ricky Aarons sat down with Will Ramos and Adam De Micco at Good Things to wrap up the chaos with a laugh and reflection on the year that was... and to see if they'd ever play the Sydney Opera House with a full symphony orchestra!

Amy Shark

Arguably one of the BIGGEST talking points of the day was the surprise secret set from Who Found Amy - a collaborative effort between pop punk icons New Found Glory and Aussie pop princess, Amy Shark. The pair took the Garage stage by storm and delivered a three-track set that will be spoken about for years to come.

Not long after, Sharky sat down with Browny to discuss how the idea came about, her origins playing pop punk songs on the Gold Coast live music circuit in her formative years and the incredible offer she had to turn down in favour of signing up for Australian Idol as a judge.

You do NOT want to miss that.

Cobra Starship

They've been missing from Australian shores for well over a decade but Vicky T made up for lost time catching up with Georgia to chat about their return, their connection with Ben Lee (who popped up at their Sydney sideshow), doing guest vocals for Weezer at the festival and the band's stranglehold and presence in the glory years of the scene...

Blasting off soon.

New Found Glory

Making their way back to Australia for the first time since 2017, New Found Glory stopped by WoS HQ to discuss forthcoming album Listen Up!, writing pop punk songs in their elder age and their appreciation for pop sensation Amy Shark, who joined the band for a secret set at the Brisbane leg of the East Coast run.

Check back soon for this one...

GWAR

Blöthar the Berserker from GWAR came, saw and left a mess to prove it...

Also, if anyone is interested in buying a couch that was dripping in blood, sweat and unidentified excrement... give Browny a call on 0423....

Coming soon...

Make Them Suffer

Jaya and Jordan were far from sufferable when they stopped by WoS HQ to chat with Ricey about their massive year, finally playing the US festival scene in 2026 and their very public stance against venue merch cuts.

The passionate chat is one not to be missed when it lands...

Palaye Royale

Without a doubt the most stylish band on the lineup, Palaye Royale graced us with their presence to chat about their return to Australia, the style icons in the music scene that inspire them, and to dive into their magnum opus single 'Fever Dream', which many fans have compared to My Chemical Romance's 'Welcome To The Black Parade'.

Check back in soon for this one.

Tonight Alive

Back in 2018, Tonight Alive entered a hiatus following their appearance at the first ever Good Things Festival appearances. Fast-forward 7 years and they're back to tear up stages and remind us of the powerhouse rock band they've become.

Jake Hardy and Matty Best spoke about their return, life away from the band and what this means for them moving forward. Will there be new music and more shows to take part in? Well, that's just giving it all away isn't it...

Come back soon for all the answers

Windwaker

Festival veterans at this point, Windwaker settled in for a chat with Georgia to celebrate their return to Good Things Festival, their brilliant hit song 'Victory Lap' and so much more.

Blow back in soon to see it in all its glory!

Yours Truly

The darlings of the alt scene joined WoS HQ to reflect on latest album Toxic, opening the festivities on the main stage at Good Things and a look at what's to come.

Come back soon for the full chat.

Goldfinger

John Feldmann is one of the music scene's most adored and accomplished producers and Duane sat down with the icon to discuss his origins playing in metal bands (where Tool opened for his band back in the day), being back in Australia and more.

Loading soon...

Fever 333

When he's not climbing on every scaffolding known to man, jason Aalon Butler from Fever 333 stops by for a candid catch up with Browny to discuss inspriations for new music, relocating to New Zealand and what's more challenging to direct on tour, band members or his kids.

Stay tuned for this one.

Inertia

These Aussie core scene upcomers all dressed in black joined Ricey for a chat about their spot on the festival, their rise in the scene and a look at what's ahead.

Strap in for one of the most exciting new bands getting around at the moment.
