It's iconic, it's Wembley. When I go running up Primrose Hill you can see the arch. It's a great thing and it's a proud spot for London.”– George Groves.

This historic venue has accommodated arguably some of the greatest events in both sport and entertainment. Whether Olympic events, NBA exhibition games, Boxing World Championships (hence the above quote from the former super-middleweight titleholder), and many more. Remarkably, this venue's prominent host list expands all the way to influential musical acts, such as: The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, and BabyMetal to list only a prodigious few of the incredible artists who have performed at the wondrous Wembley Arena (now known as OVO Arena Wembley) in Greater London.

On October 17th, 2025, New Jersey’s progressive deathcore dignitaries Fit For An Autopsy joined that monumental memorandum of bands who have performed at that “iconic proud spot for London”.

For Pat Sheridan, the guitarist for FFAA (and a gentleman of the highest order), he is still understandably in immeasurable disbelief that this actually transpired.

Holy cow, man! So, yeah, that was crazy. It's like this, when you do stuff like that, it's this culmination of a life's worth of work.Pat excitedly expressed losing his breath, before continuing. “Everybody's like: ‘Your band’- and it's not just the band. Each individual person that gets involved in these achievements, has been striving for this their entire life. You know what I mean? Not just with Fit For An Autopsy, it's with all their other bands too. They've been trying to make it, and I have been trying to make it happen for my whole life, as long as I can remember! I started in 1994 with numerous different bands.

While ‘Autopsy are potentially not(?) orchestrating a cover of Judy Gardland’s ‘Over The Rainbow’ in celebration of this unforgettable achievement, the sextet is embracing that all important second verse of the Academy Award winning composition: “And the dreams that you dare to dream, really do come true.
Deservedly so, considering that this performance in the world of deathcore (and heavy music), is iconic.

So, it's like this culmination of 30 years’ worth of work for me where, I looked out into the crowd and I was like: ‘Well, I've played big fests and I've done things, but I've never been on a stage like this’.

Mr. Sheridan then takes a moment, as if in reflection, he had returned to that exact moment, then gleefully elaborates further – Oasis, The Beatles and Beyonce. Even Prince and Steely Dan at one-point or another, they've been on that stage. It is this moment of importance that is really hard to describe to people. The first time we played a festival, I had the same feeling. Our first festival was, was it With Full Force bunch of years ago? Anyways, it was a feeling, but Wembley was really special for us. Like, I think we all had our own moment with it in different ways. It definitely hit hard, you know?

That Arch, that venue - it possesses its own spirituality. Did you feel it when you began the FFAA assault on London?

Yeah, I would say the thing that I thought about while I was on stage is, you know, that arena; I mean, all of the greatest in that era of, the 50s, 60s, 70s - that's the ‘come up’. As your band is growing, you go from there, and then you go play the stadium, and that's a whole next level. But this is the growth place of so many respected bands; I was like, my sweat, and my DNA is on this stage.” He pauses in a “realisation ecstasy” instant, then properly understands his triumph and articulates it – “The DNA of all of these amazing artists is also on this stage. Like that was the thought that I had; all of your spit, and your sweat, and you're screaming, and you're running around and pouring water on yourself. But that stage, those grounds, have held the most important like…

In a haze of bewilderment, Pat Sheridan seems to acquire another enlightenment of the great thing the six-piece have accomplished, and then courageously conveys it.
