Hey friends of WoS!! What an amazing year it's been for heavy music. It feels like we've been spoilt once again, and I'm here for it. So happy to be back and giving my take on 2022. Our band Patient Sixty-Seven has had a year to remember. Releasing our first album Wishful Thinking, touring our beautiful country, and making a ton of friends along the way. It's been special, and one of the highlights has been going back to shows consistently, from huge festivals to regular tours both domestically and internationally! Here's to more of it in 2023!

BEST MUSIC VIDEO OF 2022

Tough decision but it has to be Motionless's video for Werewolf!

FAVOURITE GIG YOU PLAYED THIS YEAR

I adored playing our first show in Adelaide. The last show of our first tour and the energy was absolutely amazing. It was just a night of good times and reminding how far our band has come, and how lucky we are to be doing this!

BIGGEST WTF OR WHOLESOME MOMENT FOR YOU/YOUR BAND

Probably releasing our first album. It's a dream come true, doing it in house, and having the chance to put out a full length record before going on tour... It's why we do this. Being from Perth, for so long it felt like such a dream and when those things actually happen it's just a beautiful thing.

ANY SNEAK PEEKS OF YOUR 2023 PLANS FOR FANS

New music. More shows! We're excited for what it holds...P67 isn't slowing down!

On December 21st, the boys were announced on the mammoth US-based Blue Ridge Rock Festival alongside fellow Aussies Parkway Drive, Alpha Wolf, The Amity Affliction and the likes of Beartooth, The Ghost Inside, Jinjer and PANTERA! We asked Tom to take us through the motions of how this came about, and turns out their fanbase are some of the most loyal in the world:

"What kind of started as a post we put out as a bit of fun, turned into something really important for us. Seeing the support we had from our friends in the states, and those in Australia wanting to see us have an opportunity overseas... It kind of floored us. We are so thankful and happy that people believe in us, and the petition that was started by some of our street teamers was humbling. I think this shows the power of community in music. We aren't on a label. We don't have an agent. We don't have a PR team. We're a band from Perth that has made heavier music that we love and wanted to bring others on that journey with us. That's really what it's been, and being a part of people's lives every day through our music and that community around the music. We're lucky, and we are grateful for this opportunity to make our dreams come true on this one. It's more than we could have imagined."
