Ocean Sleeper had a huuuge year even before releasing their debut album Don’t Leave Me This Way (our review here). They played UNIFY Gathering, ventured overseas and sold out a bunch of their headline shows in the process... not bad for a band from the bush (aka Gippsland!). They're not slowing down yet with heaps more on offer next year, but until we get there, let's see what the lads were frothing this year with our next Wall of Sound Year in Review...

Best Music Video of 2019?
Stormzy - 'Sounds of the Skeng' - All the transitions and locations are just so well done! Plus the song slaps hard. Been pretty obsessed with all of his releases this year.

Best Gig You’ve Seen In 2019?
Architects was absolutely amazing, but Young Lions continue to be one of my favourite bands to watch live.

Best/Most Memorable Show Your Band Played In 2019?
UNIFY at the start of this year was unreal, we played 'Light In My Dark' for the first time (10 months before it was released) and hearing people sing the chorus back so loudly at the end, after just hearing the song once was just so cool. Playing in Taiwan with Mayday Parade was so surreal too and the most people we have probably ever played to.
Playing in a country where English isn’t the main speaking language and having a crowd sing along to our songs is crazy. Although I did cop a big electric shocked on stage through the microphone which was kinda scary hahah. Our album tour we just finished was so fun, the sing alongs were all-time loud.
