How has it already been a couple of years since we last heard from Being Jane Lane?
The all-female punk rockers from Brisbane have been keeping pretty quiet on the music front since the standalone release of 'Trouble' back at the end of 2020, and prior to that, their debut album Savage Sunday dropped in 2019.
Now the band of misfits are back ahead of a string of shows including Punkfest 2023, this Saturday, April 1 at The Zoo in Fortitude Valley - sharing the stage with Area-7, The Go Set and more!

But what's a new show without some new material - that's why we're here today! The band have let us premiere their new single 'DANCIN' before its official launch unto the world for New Music Friday tomorrow. The uptempo bop (produced by Jay Whalley of Frenzal Rhomb) finds the foursome busting out their best moves at Death By Mullet Barbershop with a sea of fans joining in on the action. Frontwoman Teigan Le Plastrier leads the charge by 'movin' all her troubles out' through dancing, encouraging us to do the same which will no doubt be an accessible floor filler at their next gig.
According to bassist Louie Sanders, the track was:
"Inspired by the covid 'no dancing' rules implemented across the country. We realised we were taking for granted the fact that we could bust a move and it's a song about that time, encouraging everyone to get up and dance".
