Ahhh February 14th! A day of love, chocolate… and moshing?
If the Valentine’s Day blues have got you down or if you’re looking for someone to join you, the inaugural year of Life’s A Beach Festival has rolled around just in time! Much to my dismay, Sydney heavyweights, Polaris, are taking their dazzlingly curated festival to Melbourne, storming the Riviera Beach club in St. Kilda! What could be better than cooling off in the water between a hard-hitting mosh!
Offering an exciting and unique opportunity for heavy music fans, the event is not to be missed. Making the day even more alluring is a lineup of some of the most sought after international and local talent, including We Came As Romans, Thy Art Is Murder, Ocean Sleeper, Caskets, Terminal Sleep, Reliqa and Headwreck. There is truly an act for everyone!
On the tour, Polaris drummer Daniel Furnari elaborates;
“Putting together an outdoor fest that we can call our own has been a little pipe-dream of ours for a while now - and this coming summer felt like the perfect time to dip our toes in, so to speak! We’ve hand-picked a killer mix of old friends from abroad and at home, some familiar favourites and some of the best up-and-coming local talent. We’re so psyched to have the chance to create a new experience for our fans in such a unique and beautiful location. We can’t wait to have a mosh as the sun goes down, and most likely throw ourselves into the waves as soon as we walk off stage! Life’s a beach baby, don’t forget it!”
Thanks to Polaris, a new era of live music is making waves throughout Melbourne, and you do not want to miss it! Chances are we could hear some new material debuted, and that's worth the price of admission alone.
