For more than four decades, Jackson guitars have been synonymous with the sound and style of heavy metal and hard rock's most iconic players. Now, the legendary brand is returning to its roots with the launch of the Jackson Pro Origins 1985 Series, a collection that pays homage to the company's San Dimas beginnings while delivering modern playability for today's generation of guitarists.
The Pro Origins Series resurrects the unmistakable San Dimas body, a style that fuelled a generation of boundary-pushing guitar gods. At the heart of these instruments are pickups developed from Jackson's original Southern California recipe, recreated to capture the tones that helped cement Jackson as a force in the metal scene. Combined with a resonant alder body, these guitars deliver the perfect blend of warmth, punch, sustain, and clarity that cuts through even the heaviest mixes.
Each model features a maple neck with graphite reinforcement, artfully tinted to mimic the rich amber glow of perfectly aged wood. A sleek neck profile ensures lightning-fast runs across the 12"-16" compound radius maple fingerboard, while jumbo frets and large black dot inlays keep the classic Jackson aesthetic alive. The Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo completes the package, offering rock-solid tuning stability for dive bombs, squeals, and everything in between.
