Fresh off the back of 'False Dawn' released back in May, Welsh ‘angelic post-hardcore' rockers Holding Absence have released cinematic ballad 'Honey Moon'. This marks their third single off forthcoming and also third album The Noble Art Of Self Destruction.
Known for their melodies, incredible harmonies and sweeping vocals, the band stick with their well-honed formula on 'Honey Moon'. The strums of the short intro make the listener think that we're in for a chilled acoustic moment from the band, but then the song bursts into the cinema of it all and what we're given instead is nothing short of absolutely gorgeous.

Will a review ever be written about a song this band releases that doesn't talk about frontman Lucas Woodland's incredible vocals? Doubtful, and today is not that day, because from the first time we hear Lucas, he is once again superb.
From the quieter verses, to the strings and all-out vastness of the chorus, 'Honey Moon' is a love song that is epic from the start to the acoustic outro, and it's easy to picture it on the soundtrack to your favourite indie film.
The Noble Art Of Self Destruction is set to drop on August 25 and based on the three singles so far – you’ll want to pre-order! Watch this space to see our thoughts on the upcoming record ahead of release.
