It's not secret I'm a man, obsessed with Beartooth. Ever since the first time I first saw them live when frontman Caleb Shomo blew me away with his on stage presence and ability to write complex songs about his struggles with mental health, I have been hooked, so news of the band working on their new album just makes me lose my shit, especially when Shomo himself offers us all a glimpse into the making of process.
Up on his Instagram now, you cans watch a series of videos showing Caleb working hard on the album in Japan and offering insights for what you can expect this time around. In one video he states:
"...man the lyrics on this record have been fucking dark so far. It's feels like my depressive state is all that I am"
It's no secret he struggles with his own mental well-being on a daily basis and has even released music videos for the band in the past to try and raise awareness for those also battling the (at times) debilitating illness. So take a look at the Beartooth LP3 Session series and get ready for new music in 2018.
