You'll Never Guess Who Popped Up On The Voice Australia... Lee Harding!

No doubt you were singing "WASABIIIIIIII" way back in the day after Lee Harding exited Australian Idol series three in 2005, placing third. The guy was the closest thing to pop punk we had in the country and, unfortunately, after most of these talent shows, he kinda faded into oblivion, popping up in Melbourne from time to time playing shows here and there...

Well, he's just popped up on our TV screens again on The Voice where he did a pretty good rendition of Rage Against the Machine's 'Killing In The Name' and, to be honest, I've missed seeing him singing. The guy still has a great voice behind him and (luckily for us) he's made it through to the next round after all four judges/mentors turned their chairs.

Blind Audition: Lee Harding 'Killing in the Name'You can't NOT bang your head to this 🤘Lee Harding is BACK in a big way.

Now, I know in the past I've been quite vocal about my disapproval of this show, which seems to only care about the mentors/judges' careers and not about the winner (who, lets face it, none have done any more than a performance or two at the local RSL or Westfield), but Harding could be a dark horse, adding a bit of heavy metal to the show. Let's hope he can pull it off and get his career back on track again, I'd pay good money to see him doing a metal version of his #1 single 'Wasabi'... wouldn't you?
