WSTR Return to Their Roots with Punchy New Single ‘Jobbo’

UK pop punkers WSTR are back and heading back to their roots with brand new single 'Jobbo'. Inspired by the mundane 9-to-5 life, the band have turned a new leaf and taken inspiration from their own backcatalog for this energetic number. Anyone else familiar with their 2015 EP, SKRWD? Yeah, the lads have stripped it back completely here.

Featuring an extremely infectious melody that'll take you back to early Neck Deep, this UK-based band sound the best they've ever sounded since they dropped that 'Filthy' banger a lifetime ago. While the boys did tease a new track called 'All The Rage' earlier in the year, it was a vastly different style to what we're used to hearing. 'Jobbo' however, hits the sweet spot for pop punk fans everywhere and sees the boys back in their comfort zone. Vocalist Sammy Clifford shares:

“We’ve gone back to basics with this one. We spent years trying to find a “sound” and we almost forgot what got us here in the first place. We had a lot of time out to work on ourselves and time to reflect musically also. As soon as we got back in the studio we decided to go with what came the most natural and to just stick to what we do best. JOBBO is basically “Graveyard Shift Pt 2”. We want to try reconnect with our OG’s and all the fans who have been there from the start who gave us everything and who we had our best times and most fun shows with. We want more of that!”

If you miss Neck Deep's early days, chances are you will 100% froth WSTR's brand new single. With a refreshing new start on the horizon and a new label hook-up with Life Or Death Records, you can bet that things are on the way up for this British four-piece.
