Witness the Second Coming of Colour & Shade in New Single 'Phoenix'

Earlier this year, we brought your attention to Melbourne alternative rock outfit Colour & Shade with their track 'Therapy'. If you were impressed with that, then you are in for something else with the band's follow up single. 'Phoenix' is fucking heavy, intertwined with tasty riffage and infectious melodies enough to keep your attention for the song's entirety.

The song marks the band's rebirth since their 2018 debut, which follows similar tones to what we heard on 'Therapy'. The band shares:

"Phoenix was a song created after the vocalist Zak went through a personal rebirth. Finding his now wife Laura, who helped him have a home for the first time in over a decade, and a place to build a studio and discover his passion for producing records.

This was the first song the band wrote in this studio and brought them together, reshaping the sound of Colour & Shade and starting the process of creating something new for the band. As such Phoenix represents Zak's love for Laura and gratitude for giving him a home, and the rebirth of Colour & Shade's music."

Keen to catch more of these guys in the new year!
