Waxflower Radiate New Energy with 'Ring'

Brisbane emo/pop punks Waxflower just seem to get even better with each new release, and they're kicking off the year with their catchiest tune yet. 'Ring' sticks to a similar rhythm that previous track 'Soak' did where vocalist Tristan Higginson collaborates with his fellow band members. He also finds this song as a self-affirmation not to lose hope when things in life get dark. The song serves:

“A reminder to myself that it’s worth fighting odds, industry and enemies to keep my creative passion alive. Don’t let your insecurities get in the way of where you want to be.”

This new creative approach to their music has proved a success for the band for this track and 'Soak' as they're producing their most infectious music yet. Drummer Daniel Seymour couldn't be more stoked:

"We're so excited to be releasing 'Ring', finally. It's been a song that we've been tinkering with for nearly 2 years now, so to have it be released today is an absolutely incredible feeling. The support this band has had in the short time we've been releasing music has been phenomenal. We can't wait to kick into a huge 2022 & get to be face-to-face with every single person who's made this project a reality. Watch out - this is just the start!"

While still maintaining that nostalgic style the boys have pushed since their early days, 'Ring' follows a similar path that induces a melancholy pop rock riff, embedded into a bouncy hook that proves quite infectious. Following their debut EP, We Might Be Alright almost a year ago now, the Brisbane four-piece now look towards the future and it's looking ever so bright. Watch this space...!
