Watch Steel Panther join Steven Adler/Adler's Appetite on stage last night

Back in the old days of LA's Sunset Strip, it wouldn't be uncommon for bands to jump on stage with other bands for a sing-a-long, especially if they're within the same genre or label, but last night in Brisbane, Australia, we copped an experience straight from the glitter strip when Michael Starr and Satchel from Steel Panther joined former Guns 'N Roses drummer Steven Adler and his band Adler's Appetite on stage as the band played Appetite For Destruction in full.

Both bands just happened to be in the same city, at the same time (Panther play their Sunset Strip Live! show tonight at Eatons Hill) and when that timing miraculously happens, how can you say no? Starr and Satchel took control of 'Sweet Child o' Mine' playing along like it was one of their own shows, minus the wigs, while Adler bashed away on the drums with ease.

The night started with a Q&A session featuring Steven and his mother Deanna Adler, talking about his battles with drug addiction and the many ups and harrowing downs she faced during that time, the stories were lifted from her new book Sweet Child of Mine: How I Lost My Son to Guns N' Roses, a title the pair weren't too happy with as Deanna stated:

"It should have been called How I Lost My Son to Addiction. I didn't lose my son to Guns 'N Roses" with her son adding "Guns 'N Roses was the best thing to ever happen to me"

Following the recounting of stories and struggles they both faced, Adler's Appetite took to the stage shortly after 10pm and bashed out Guns 'N Roses debut album in full, featuring a lineup consisting of Constantine Maroulis on vocals, rhythm guitarist Carl RestivoMichael Thomas on lead guitar and bassist Sean McNabb (of Quiet Riot/Sons of Anarchy fame).

Steel Panther frontman Michael Starr took to the stage one last time for the show's climax performing 'Paradise City' with the band before departing into the shadows of the night and for the first time in a very long time, Brisbane scored a show to remember for years to come.
