Outloved Tackle Self-Doubt on New Track ‘Never Enough’
When we last caught up with Outloved, they’d just flexed their skills at combining heavy and clean music with their single ‘Still Lonely’. Proving they’re still masters of their craft, the Melbourne based alternative rock outfit are back with an emotionally gripping new single ‘Never Enough’. Get ready to feel something when you’re banging your head.
‘Never Enough’ begins with a soft melody and vocalist Jaydon Colvin setting the scene. The pacing gets more desperate, as each chantable chorus begins with Colvin’s mesmerising high pitched screams. The song structure feels like it pulls the listener into their emotions to incite self-reflection, before pushing the listener out to exert those emotions with anthemic chants of ‘never be enough’ alongside some very catchy riffs.
Outloved’s ‘Never Enough’ takes you on an emotional journey that will continue to impact me for some time. They have utilised their unique style to create a push-pull effect to explore imposter syndrome, and I am so excited to see what else I can explore from them in the future.
