Knuckle Puck & Derek Sanders Keep Their Cool On New Single 'Breathe'

After sharing two hugely infectious singles already, 'Tune You Out' and 'RSVP', Knuckle Puck are channelling new game with another banger, 'Breathe'. The band have also linked up with Mayday Parade frontman Derek Sanders for this one, which is something I definitely wasn't expecting but I like it! KP guitarist/vocalist Nick Casasanto shares a few words about the band's new anthem for getting through tough times, or even just anxiety on a whole:

"I find myself dwelling on things when they go wrong. Maybe something happened that was beyond my control or I said something that I later regretted. When these thoughts enter my mind, they takeover and it's hard to breathe, putting me into an almost dissociative state. It wasn’t until I discovered mindfulness that I started to regain control, telling myself to take a deep breath and purge the negative thoughts.

Life is going to constantly challenge you, but the only thing that truly matters is your mindset while weathering the storm. In these strange, infuriating and often scary times, remember to stay positive and breathe. Cool heads always prevail."

The track is as infectious as the band's previous track 'RSVP' and I don't know about you, but this vibe is something I felt was missing on their previous album, Copacetic. Knuckle Puck have definitely upped their pop punk game this year, and I'm 100% on board.

'Breathe' appears off the band's forthcoming album, 20/20 which will be released on September 18th through Rise Records. Pre-order here
