Following a pretty dramatic ousting from his former bill paying band Slipknot, Joey Jordison has kept himself busy with various projects as he recovered from Acute Transverse Myelitis which kept him in hospital for 3 months back in 2012... But 5 years later we finally got to see his latest venture, his new band Vimic.

The band have a new album on the way in 2018 called Open Your Omen which was produced by Joey and Kato Khandwala who's most recent work was with My Chemical Romance, but they've also enlisted Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine to assist with mixing and mastering... Mustaine also features on the band's first single 'Fail Me (My Temple)'

Jordison says this band brought him back from a dark place stating:

“We started this record when I was coming out of the Acute Transverse Myelitis condition. It’s literally what saved me and helped me get back to where I’m healthier than ever. These guys and this album pushed me to not only relearn how to walk, but how to play the drums again. Open Your Omen is the rebirth of the rest of my life.”
