First Look: Red Sea Debut 'Hopelessly' Video, Filmed During Sydney's Lock Down

The way COVID-19 ripped the world from us was felt around the globe and to be completely honest with you, it was strange seeing once full cities, turned into ghost towns like something out of The Walking Dead (or another apocalyptic series that didn't turn out so shit by season 5)

But Sydney band Red Sea jumped on the chance to get some incredibly eerie shots of the city's CBD for their 'Hopelessly' music video, a ballad-esque track that fits the video to an absolute tee.

Vocalist Erica Bowron reflects on the concept revealing:

"COVID lockdown hit in March and, along with the rest of the world, we just stopped. After some weeks, Scott (Daniels - guitarist) suggested using the all-but-abandoned city centre. I loved the idea and we filmed 4 days later... Seeing places like the Sydney Opera House steps and Wynyard Station completely empty was truly eerie..."

The song comes from the band's forthcoming Sanguine EP which is scheduled for release on November 6th.

Suss the video below then track the band down on Facebook and Instagram ahead of the song's official release tomorrow!
