Deadlights Debut New Song 'Sugarcoated Psychosis'

If you've been waiting for Deadlights to come back following the release of their monstrous single 'Bathed In Venom' back in April, well you're going to have a great day because the Greyscale Records heroes have released their new song 'Sugarcoated Psychosis' and oh boy it's a good one!

On the new song, frontman Dylan Davidson says:

"Sugarcoated Psychosis is a battle cry spawned in retaliation against mass manufactured media... It is the product of our disillusioned generation raised by egocentric icons. It is the twisted retelling of me tuning in the radio and saying 'What the fuck?' out loud even with no one else in the car. It is us kicking into action the next phase of Deadlights. Eat it up."

It seems they're taking some inspiration from the likes of fellow Aussies Void of Vision and Thornhill with a touch of Underoath and heading down that core/djent/atmospheric metal direction with crispy screams and alluring melodic vocals.

Things have been a lil quiet in Deadlights camp this year but it'll pick up in 2020 according to Dylan:

"We realise we’ve been a bit of a tease this year. With Sugarcoated Psychosis, that’ll be 2 singles released this year; but never fear, a lot more music is coming. Patience is virtue! Our fans are so damn devoted and we want you to know that we live and breathe for this, and are not slowing down. You will see us in 2020."
