blink-182 Take Aim At Disgruntled Fans In New Song 'Generational Divide'

They're back and they're not really happy it seems because blink-182 have unleashed their new song 'Generational Divide' which, at only 49 seconds long, sounds like it's directed at the older fans who don't like the new direction they're heading in musically.

Like the old school punk songs of yesteryear, this one is fast paced with Travis Barker smashing his kit like there's no tomorrow and features Mark Hoppus repeating the lyrics "Is it better? Is it better now?/Are we better? Are we better now?" while Matt Skiba sings "All we needed was a lifeline/We swore we'd be better than the last time/Donate, tell me that you're all right/I'm not the generational divide"

The riff sounds similar 'The Only Thing That Matters' from their 2016 album California and once again, like their song 'Brohemien Rhapsody' off the same album, I feel like they've put together a fantastic collection of instrumentals which have been wasted on such a short song. But, on the positive, it's catchy, punky and reminiscent of early Millencolin which means they're trying to appeal to their older fans again.

The good outweighs the bad with this one so that's a win for blink-182 in my eyes!
