51st Avenue Unleash Their Inner Superheroes with 'Release'

Sydney electronic/pop/rock four-piece 51st Avenue are back with second single 'Release'. If you're a fan of DC Comics or the Marvel Universe, you'll wish this track was featured in your favourite movie. Vocalist Alynnis Zizza shares:
“With the superhero and metahuman craze on the absolute high (and having a slight obsession with Batman and Robin), ‘Release’ places you right in the middle of that introspective comic book spread. Putting you back into your childhood self, when you wanted to be every awesome superhero as well as every badass super villain. Sometimes our grown up problems feel bigger than they are and can only be solved by our inner superheroes”
When we met them last year on 'Don't Want Me', the band caught our attention with their ability to connect on a deeper emotional level and intriguing blend of electronic/rock. 'Release' sees 51st Avenue focusing more on those synth drops seemingly inspired by The Amity Affliction and Bring Me the Horizon.
I really feel like these kids are aiming to do what Tonight Alive accomplished with 'The Edge' all those years ago. Alynnis sure has a decent set of pipes on her that's going be a voice to watch in Australian music this year. Music label execs, you hearing this?!
