Dave Mustaine said they were planning a trip back to Australia soon and he wasn't joking because this morning Megadeth announced they'll be returning to our shores in October for a tour that actually includes Perth! The thrash metallers (who were supposed to be apart of the 2014 Soundwave Festival before they pulled out) will be here to promote their 15th studio album which will be released around the same time of the tour and will be the first time the band has performed with their new line up in Australia, consisting of Lamb Of God drummer Chris Adler and Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro who also recorded the new album.
Mustaine recently spoke about the forthcoming album revealing:
“There’s a lot of riffing going on in there, that’s for damn sure...I knew from the start that I wanted to go back to my roots and I wanted to make a thrash record”.

Great news for fans who have been wanting the guys to return to their earlier styles and with Dave Mustaine acting as producer on the album you know its going to be just that. Coming along for the rise will be the melodic death metal act Children of Bodom who have also been working on a new album "I Worship Chaos" which has the release date of October 2nd through Nuclear Blast.
