Eivør feels her art to her soul, and she expresses it to a delightful degree that feels beyond human. Will Oakeshott, Wall Of Sound, 2nd November 2024 at the AEC Theatre, Adelaide, South Australia.

‘Nothing To Fear’ is a charismatic composition found on Eivør Pálsdóttir’s ninth studio album entitled Segl (2020) that radiates an illustrious progressive-pop soundscape with captivating poetry. In the second part of the chorus, Ms. Pálsdóttir enthrals her devotees with the promise: “You know you need me, time and again.” And after her whirlwind Australian (and New Zealand) tour supporting ritualistic Neofolk collective Heilung in 2024, Eivør is returning to our shores to mesmerise her followers on her own headlining adventure, as needed and specified in the sensational song.

I had been dreaming about becoming a singer my entire life, since I was a kid and I wasn’t living that dream in the Faroe Islands.Eivør Pálsdóttir told Wall Of Sound merely months before her first venture to our side of the globe, and it has become transparently obvious that she has indeed, fulfilled her dreams.

From the windswept cliffs of Syðrugøta in the Faroe Islands, to Netflix screens across the globe, Eivør’s voice has mesmerised the Earth. Her music is a major feature in the soundtrack of the global hit series The Last Kingdom and has accumulated nearly 1 billion streams worldwide. With ten studio LPs acquiring critical acclaim, collaborations with artists like Ásgeir, Einar Selvik (Wardruna) and Dan Heath (Lana Del Rey), television appearances and even being awarded the prestigious 2021 Nordic Council Music Prize, Ms. Pálsdóttir is more than a force to be reckoned with, she is a need, time and again.

Joining the phenomenal Faroe Islander is Kathrine Shepard, better known as Sylvaine. A Norwegian composer and multi-instrumentalist whose astounding musical adventures spellbindingly waver between delightfully devastating blackgaze intensity, to phenomenal post-rock passages featuring her breathtaking ethereal vocal intricacy. Two of her albums have been nominated for the Norwegian Grammy awards Spellemannprisen in the category of metal, and her fourth full-length Nova released in 2022, was described as: “…their best record yet and a shining example of how to create evocative art. A crowning achievement.” By Nicholas Senior of New Noise Magazine.

Two artists. One unmissable experience.
A journey for those longing to reconnect with the ancient, the wild, and the deeply human.

Don’t miss the most transcendent tour of 2026.

As stated in the live review first mentioned in this article: “A fast return with headline stature for Eivør is, simply put, necessary.
