It's been a hot minute since Sydney based post-hardcore up-and-comers Bloom dropped their debut album In Passing (our review here) which saw the band score a spot within the Greyscale Records family, as well as a national tour supporting Thornhill between lockdowns. You Bettie believe that we are bloody excited to see what exactly the band has to offer us next. Bloom are usually the first to explore emotionally tough topics, with this song being just that. 'Sink Into The Soil' delves into subject matters such as mental illness, hindsight, reflection, hope and missed opportunities.

On the new single, the band reveals:

"Sink Into The Soil seeks reasons for finding the courage to get yourself out after years of uncertainty, even when you don’t have the strength yourself. Something many can relate to as our lives are disrupted."

The song itself is the bands heaviest work to date, and it features more clean vocals from Jarod Mclaren than in the bands previous releases. With an infectious breakdown throughout the songs outro, you'll be sure to find yourself bopping your head along wherever you might be listening. 'Sink Into The Soil' seems like the first step towards the bands next era and you better believe that we are counting down the days until we hear word of their next announcement!

Make sure you catch Bloom on their first ever national headline tour as well as at UNIFY Forever this March.
